Current Bid Opportunities
CHLORINATION SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECT - DWSRF PROJECT NO. DW360300
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by The Island Water Association at 3651 Sanibel Captiva Rd, Sanibel, FL 33957 until 2:00 PM EST, November 12, 2026, for the construction of the Chlorination System Upgrade Project. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the bid closing.
The Work generally consists of the construction of a clearwell, electrical room, transfer pump station, the installation of hydrogen sulfide removal equipment (carbon dioxide storage, packed tower aerators and bio-trickling filters) and disinfection conversion from gas chlorine to bulk sodium hypochlorite.
This project is being financed through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FLDEP) State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program, including Supplemental Appropriations for Hurricanes Fiona and Ian (SAHFI), and State of Florida Legislative Grant Appropriations. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the State Revolving Fund Program, including applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and requirements incorporated into the Contract Documents.
The Contract Documents include applicable FDEP Supplementary Conditions and other federal compliance requirements applicable to the project. Requirements generally include Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity certification requirements, American Iron and Steel requirements, and other applicable federal requirements.
Bidding Documents may be examined and obtained from Carollo Engineers, Inc., 301 N. Cattleman Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243 or by contacting rknickerbocker@carollo.com. A 5% bid bond will be required. A payment and performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
