Captiva Main Replacement Update

December 27, 2007.

        The new 16/12 inch water main is now active and all the services have been transferred to the new pipeline.  The last section of the old 12” ductile iron main was disconnected and abandoned on December 13^th.  

In January, the grouting of the abandoned ductile iron pipe will continue.  The grouting has already been completed on the section from the north s-curve near the gulf to the South Seas Resort.

Lee County DOT is scheduled to start its paving and shoulder widening project on April 16, 2008.
